Within the online dictionary environment, you will find three file formats. The tiff images are intended for text recognition, while png and html are the most suitable formats for online consultation. Alternatively, you may download the works in portable document format (pdf) above.

Note:

• Our copy of Sveinbjörn's 1860 Lexicon is a scan provided by the University of Toronto for the Internet Archive. It is of inferior quality. Therefore, we offer it in png format only and consider it a temporary solution, until we obtain a better scan.
• None of the htmls have as yet been corrected after ocr; the image editions are therefore recommended for accuracy. The community are invited to assist in the ocr correction process (read our guidelines first).

We have difficulty obtaining a suitable copy of the 1860 Latin Lexicon. If you know of a private copy of this work that is bound in such a way as to allow for photocopying, please let us know via paul[ät]septentrionalia.org or andy[ät]septentrionalia.org.

For correct display, the php renderings require the Lucida Sans Unicode font.
