When setting out to correct our corpus, please write to langeslag[ät]gmail.com to reserve a batch of ten files for yourself to correct (e.g., pp. xi-xx of the 1860 Lexicon or pp. 241-51 of the 1931 edition). If you choose to correct the text without your own ocr reader, edit the html file itself rather than pasting the browser output into your editor. If you prefer to analyse the tiff files using your own ocr reader (easier), save the text straight to html from there as html with no formatting except italics and bold typeface (depending on your software, this option may appear as "retain font and font size"). When editing, make sure to use the original characters, including those which may not show up in your html editor; if "ǫ" shows up as "," it will still be rendered correctly in a browser supporting the Lucida Sans Unicode font. If your editor does not have an option for inserting special characters, use that of your word processor to copy and paste. When done editing, send the file to paul[ät]septentrionalia.org.
When correcting, also pay attention to display properties. All lexical items should be in bold typeface, and the ocr gets its italics wrong from time to time. Please remove the page number and headwords range, since these are included in the website's navigation bar.
